Cocoa anyone…

CocoaAnyone

Did you know there is a difference between hot cocoa and hot chocolate? According to Google and a Chocolate website there are differences as I thought it was only an usage of different words ~seem there is no real definition of either at least in today’s world yet “Traditionally, hot cocoa is a thin, sweetened beverage, made from cocoa powder, sugar, and milk. Hot cocoa may or may not contain other flavorings, such as vanilla, liqueur, or spices. Hot cocoa is often less rich and sweeter than hot chocolate. Historically, hot chocolate (also called drinking chocolate or sipping chocolate), is made with actual chocolate (often shaved or ground into fine pieces so it melts quickly). Because of the high-fat content of chocolate, hot chocolate is richer than hot cocoa. Hot chocolate made be made with water (traditional in some parts of Europe) or with milk. It is usually less sweet than hot cocoa, and many makers of hot chocolate pride themselves on having their product be a thick, bittersweet beverage.  Interesting to me my Mom would say hot cocoa because she made it from Hershey’s cocoa powder, sugar, and milk ~ when I got older would add in Baileys to give it a nice little pop.  I wonder how many are doing the POE hunt as this year there are a lot of nice things like the dress am wearing is from the hunt *check credits* ~ for those that are counting down till Christmas you have 18 more days till the big man delivers pressies ~ hugzz to all and to each of you remember to be kind to one another ♥♥
