Desert Warrior…

Remember that song “Horse With No Name” by America ~ maybe not as it is one of those oldies that I grew up loving and was released on November 12 1971 ~ well the chorus went like this and if you like to hear the entire song please click HERE

I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can remember your name
‘Cause there ain’t no one for to give you no pain
La, la, la la la la, la la la, la la…
La, la, la la la la, la la la, la la…

On my frequent travels I came across this warrior with a horse that this song just seems so appropriate ~ and can you believe it the Horse actually did have no name…seriously…

Warrior with his Horse with No Name

With his war paint on I took a couple of steps back not sure how I should approach this fierce warrior ~ his horse was magnificent looking so did what I always do when I meet someone new I just said HI and smiled hoping truly that he understood my words…he kind of grunted Hello as I took a couple steps a tiny bit closer I held out my camera and asked well kind of mimic’d may I take some pics of him ~ this huge grin came cross his face and he did a little I guess warrior dance and started posing for me ~ with his eyes staring straight out you saw that his face was scarred but the longer you looked it became a part of him and all was left was the brave warrior proud of those scars that signified many battles that I would hate to see the ones he fought..

As I little more comfortable his face started taking on that artistic approach for me and my camera wanted to capture as much as possible…He signaled with one finger to STOP…am like ut oh am I in trouble here but no he saw that I had a mirror and somewhere on him he had paints to change his look again that amazed me ~ as he was carefully putting on a new look I watched in awe ~ again he struck another pose and nodded for me to continue…

Brave Warrior

He stood so still that I wondered how he could not twitch or move a muscle as I moved my camera in and out and moving around for a good 20 minutes to capture just the right images ~ but things had to come to an end I was hot, getting sweaty and he finally decided that was it ~

Not saying another word he whistled softly and his horse with no name came over he put his hand on the horses mane and they both walked over the dunes not looking back once…And my adventure ended just like that ~ so you just never know who you might meet out exploring the various lands of Second Life…enjoy and say Hi to strangers then strangers they won’t be anymore…Peace out♥

Yes I do have to say thank you to “thief burner” for helping me with this vision and actually I was walking around at the SaNaRae event spied this interesting person and after looking at his profile I knew that he would be just the right one so saying hi and asked if he would not mind me taking some pics ~ he was even kind enough to notecard his apparel for those that might want this look…Thanks again THIEF BURNER
